I'd just find a 3.7v 240 mah LiPo battery for $10.

It could be that it whent dead from not charging it over those few months too. You have to top them off every few weeks.

(sorry if I said that before... we've been having a dozen and a half "battery's not charging" type threads to keep straight... plus all of the ones with broken top rotor dogbone connectors.)

Broken top rotor connectors and Batteries seem to the main problems, agreed CPD.

umm, ok.  That's kinda how my battery looks like and it's not flying like it used to a few months ago.  Granted, I rarely fly it.  I just started flying it more recently and bummed of the performance.

No, it looks like that because the battery is in an envelope and the 2 edges are folded back.

Dont you think that the image in the amazon link looks like the battery is bloated?  My battery looks real close to the image.

I'll look at my brother's new heli and see how his battery looks just to compare.

I dont have a soldering gun nor know how to really use one to be 100% safe.  I saw that the wires are small and short.  I may twist and then tape them up, but darn no other easy way like plug-n-play???

I tried flying last night and it wasn't soaring high Confused Guess I'm going to buy a new battery.

yes you could try crimpers if not soldering,or twist wires together and tape, not really a good join-try the crimpers they should not be expensive

Could you use the wire crimp connectors for these? (the ones available at Radio Shack for connecting radio/stereo wires semi-permanently) I just was wondering, since I don't have a soldering iron, and my dad'd really scream if he found out I used one.

Very small wires to solder, watch temp of soldering iron,I use heat shrink to insulate wires just by touching gently on heat shrink with soldering iron

Hi the best way to change the battery is, as you say, cut the wires and solder and dont forget to insulate them.

Dont cut to close to the mother board could cause problems.

I hope that's why my RC isn't flying as high as it used to and it descends quick when I hover and move forward or backwards.  I'll have to check out the battery when I go home.

That is a sign that is has not had time to cool down between charging you must give it about 15/20 mins after flight and 10 mins after charging because it gets hot after a charge and after flight as well.

The battery is a lithium polymer that is very active it dumps all it can that is why the copter flys and not for long.

All you need is a new battery and she will fly again, simple.
