WRT the animation, I kinda struggled to get it down below the max file size. It's definitely 50x50. There may be a setting in the admin control panel that allows or disallows animated gifs. A lot of people find them annoying. If it's against the rules, I can upload a much smaller non-animated file.

Give it a try,I allow avatars-it will either work or not- everyting set up my side in the back end for putting your own avatar on-thanks for you input CPD

Well, SF is the owner of the site, and he didn't say not to, so I guess you can... It just might not work...

I don't know the max size and I don't know what to do with it...

Sorry I couldn't help more...

Animation must not be allowed in avatars? I am using the avatar I use all over the interwebs, but I decided that it would be funny to have an S107 flying around his head on this site. I made it, and uploaded it, but it seems to only be showing the first frame. Cry

CPD is the expert on this-He can help you,I do avatars that get uploaded on same email address organized

Crap, why do I have to be the expert now???

To be honest, I've never done ANYTHING with animation, at all. If I had a friend on the site that knew, I'd ask them, but I don't have any idea what to do on that one...

Best I can say is check that it's working on your computer other than on the site, then check that it's 50 megapixels max in any direction.

Anything more I have is to just have the avatar have some weird look while there's an S107 in his face...

...Great to see more people getting away from Air Hogs' foam and plastic grip!

I'm not sure why people are still buying them. If they were cheaper than a basic 3-channel heli, I could understand it. Confused

Maybe you should have bought two of the $20 millitary series ones just to show you got 4x the heli for $40...

Lol.

Goodness, I do love the interwebs. I was over at a friend's place the other day, and he broke out an Air Hogs Sharpshooter. I thought it was awfully fun, and asked him what that set him back. About $40, he said. Surprised I thought that sounded a little high, so I decided to look around for my own indoor heli.

In my digging I found this place, and the Syma 107G (one of which will arrive at my door on Monday!) I will be flying circles around his plastic toy, and for just a little over half of the price. Not bad for a few hour's worth of obsessive Googling, and YouTube watching. Cool

Thank you for this resource, and I'm sure I'll be back to help lower the learning curve, and to talk about the inevitable mods I'll want to do once I get some flight hours (I can't leave anything alone.)
