I saw it posted but just now watched it. I kinda tried that, but after watching you did it the way you did. Then, turned on the heli and remote, blades turned for a spit second, and the heli went off. No lights or nothing. Bad soldering job on the battery wires? I'm going to redo them.

Hi everyone. This is my old, slightly modified, go-to heli. Quite, fast, precise. It was my first and have had it since December. First the battery needed replacing. Ah, it was born again! Then the top rotor motor went out so I replace it. I know it was bad. After changing it it still won't get off the ground. I checked the gears, everything looked good, but it seemed rough to turn, like it was catching. Looked even more closely at the gears and everything looks good. So I changed the lower rotor motor and still won't get off the ground. Same problem. No change in behavior. I've re-done my soldering several times hoping I just didn't get it right or something. Any ideas?

Board?

Time for retirement?

Oh, and it was lubed with silicone, so that's not the problem. Unless I put too much and two weeks later it caused a problem.
