making an Trainer Transmitter

I have 2 S107s coming and with that extra transmitter, I'm planning to make a Trainer Transmitter for my little girl. Here's the plan

  1. Put a female stereo 1/4" headphone jack on each transmitter
  2. On the primary transmitter, put SPST push on push off switches on the back near index finger
  3. On the secondary transmitter, put transiters in line with the 3 channel sticks such that the left SPST deadens the left stick and the right SPST deadens the right stick. When the male plug is removed, the transmitter will function as normal.

I imagine that most of the time I will have to control the elevation and I can take full control as needed.

Does this sound like a good idea? Any suggestions or cautions?
