Give me your views guys-just took out sidebars on the right to make the forum bigger so should be better posting videos and photos of your Syma 107 or what ever-trying to incorporate section on forum just to up load photos-hope to get that going next week: SF

True CPD,However this site is built using Wordpress,so looking for a good plugin-it might work using flickr,I will have an account that you post photos there then auto updates using plug in to the blog,a lot more research yet

Could find the least-used page, and trim down the bandwith on it, or reduce the draw from the background and footer... the footer background's an easy fix for a little bit of draw, but a solid background on everything helps a lot. (or so I was taught...)

Am working on setting up a page for you all to upload your photos to,however having to do a bit of work with my host server as needs more bandwidth,fear can be the site starts to load slowly-Any how will have something set up after Christmas

I can see this site becoming extremely popular. There aren't any like this I've seen in my virtual travels. As for suggestions, well all I would do is expand the forum, it's a very important part of the site. And the Member's photo/video page suggested before is a very good idea.

Yeah, you can't have that many divisions- mods, OT, general syma stuff and advice sections with a user-uploaded photo page is about all of what's needed...
Hi Wingnut good Idea ! but I am a moderator on an Astronomy forum and my Admin has added so many topic areas that people lost intrest, simple is easy, but that is for SF not me 
.
A contest for a new heli?!?!? Count me in!
I think the forum would streamline a bit better if it was categorized under different topics such as mods, pics, troubleshooting, clones/knockoffs, barter/for sale (swap shop), news, funny stories, and off topic.

I did start doing that but was a little hesitant to review other Syma helis so not to take away what this blog is-the Syma s107-however I am setting up that idea and hope to have the blog expand to more helis- thank you for input.

CPD Thank you for the link.Amazon only pays 5% so no real money selling helis,just like to cover my overheads,hosting,chat bar etc.Tried free forums before and was just not happy with them. Talk soon

in my opinion it would be usefull to start info about other Syma's.
Just ordered my second one, a Syma S111.
May be separate chapters for each type is an idea to get a fast fast accessible databank.
Also separating modifications and repairs will make things clear.

Yeah, not sure if it's nice enough for $10/month... nice, but not THAT nice... that's $120/year more! Really need to start either selling these helis on amazon to make it up, or do SOMETHING...
like I said before, though, somewhere, freeforums.org has a freebe thing like this... the "clan" (really team) for call of duty I'm in has one, complete with all kinds of other pages and a chat feature. http://teammxs.freeforums.org/
I don't know how easy it is to maintain and set up, but it has all the features we use now, plus it can put pictures/videos in posts without a url.

Yes should work ok,you will see a bar at the bottom of page,as soon as you log into the forum you can then use all the chat features.I have just set up to pay $10 a month for the company to serve this-I am looking at also ability to upload photos and create groups for mods etc,of course the more required the bigger the monthly cost-I need to montor this to see if this will be a benefit for all.
I will keep you updated with what I am doing,again thank you all for advice on what you need to make our experience of Syma helis get better.SF

On the tool bar at the top click on embedded media,the only problem is you have to have a url to your photos,trying to change that but not easy

Your command is my wish-lol Just trying out a chat program today on the blog-not fully all set up as is going to cost me minimum $10 a month,want to make sure before sign contract it works ok.Then one can have avatars and much more-give it a try!!
