Congrats to me! I'm now the owner of an X5C! White color and mine came with an extra battery

and memory chip. As usual, the owners' guide is horrible. At least this time Amazon got it right.

Everything is in factory-fresh condition. I even ordered a set of the replacement goodies to mod it.

It's too late now to fly outside, but the initial flight in the rec room seems to work fine. I'll worry

about getting the camera set up later.

JamDJ,

Nothing to worry about setting the camera up.  Just insert the little SD card and push it in until it clicks.  (To remove it, push it in until it releases and pops out a bit.)

The important thing to remember:  When you have the quad ready to fly, the (little, square) camera switch is located to the right of the throttle (up/down) lever.  Push that switch DOWN, once only.  That will activate the camera.  Be sure to push it down again, once only, when you are finished recording.  You must do this before switching off the quad or you will lose what you recorded.

Also, to shoot a still picture, push the camera switch UP one time only.

That's it.

I heard back from both Amazon and their vendor today, both trying to rectify the situation.

My correspondence was amicable, therefore still not going to name the vendor....this time.

Mistakes do happen, and this was the only one occurance I've ever had with Amazon.

I did order another one, which shipped today, but am going to keep the details private,

unless there is another problem when it gets here. THEN, you guys will know about it!

Meanwhile, all is well and I can't wait until I get the X5C !!!!

I am pretty upset with you having that problem with Amazon--not usual concept..As being in Australia can not get many products from Amazon if batteries supplied hence use Banggood as sends world wide no shipping costs but can take 30 days to receive goods, keep us posted. SF

Mike,

I have found them in black, white (the norm) and blue. Blue ones are usually

co-branded as an exclusive color by (insert retailor here). Their names appear on the blades

such as Potensic.

I sent mine back and ordered the replacement from a different vendor, and just today filled out

the Amazon questionaire. We'll see what happens. I'll keep you all posted!

Got the blue one but had to send it back as it was clearly used.surprised

The heli wasn't tied down, the screwdriver was missing, and the camera

chip was already inside the camera, (who knows what was on it?!)

Also green marks on the blades, probably grass stains.

Sent it back to Amazon for a replacement, as the website did NOT say

there was an option for new or used. Thats the first ever bad buying experience

I've had from them so not going to mention the vendor yet. I'll give the benefit

of a mistake, this happens, but will let you guys know if this isn't justified by

the vendor (nameless at the moment...) and Amazon. I will keep you posted!

Too bad because this was the perfect weekend for outdoor flying, I did get

a few flights in of the S6 and my S32.

C'Mon you guys, shout out your posts!

JamDJ,

Wow!

I'm very surprised that an Amazon associate vendor would pull something like that -- unless you have unintentionally ordered a used unit.   But if that's not the case I think you really should issue blackball feedback on that vendor and post its name here.  In any case I'm sure Amazon will see that you receive a replacement.

Green marks on the blades assuredly are grass stains.

The SD card being in the camera is normal.

You say you got a blue one?  I didn't know the x5c was produced in blue.  What other colors are there?

Anyway, hopefully you will receive a replacement very soon.  When you do and you start flying it I expect you to say it was worth the aggravation.
