The xc5 is a very stable quad and a great flier. apart from the battery being fiddly to put in I an very happy with it. The leds are a real help in night flying and I really enjoy mine.

The following users say thank you to Redfive for this useful post:

Will it do that, how do I know when I am near the range limit?

There is no warning that you are about to be out of range, it is just either it has a signal or it hasn't. Do fly it in a safe open area and find out what the limits are remembering that the state of battery in both the controller and the x5 will vary the range a bit too.

Redfive is correct, I took my X5 really high could hardly see it, then lost signal and she came spinning down, but picked up signal again and landed safetly.

It will drop as soon as it loses signal. Go to a large sports area and try it.
