Now cut it out you guys, this is serious. Apart from having dyslexia, hang on.....? and dyscalculia, what? Oldtimers and the mercury is kicking in now, so what was the question..? What the F"" is lysdexic, cause I might want that in the future,,?
You chappies are funny.
4 + 6 = I got it! cause I's got the same thumb thing that scratches my bum.
Supernova, I was lucky enough in the army to fly in a heli, a few times. I have fly'd a Bell 206B-1, no take offs or landings, been in a CH-47 Chinook as passenger and two fixed winged aircraft. Flying around in a CT4 parrot was the best fun ever, the other was a Pilatus Porter PT6 both fixed wing.
The 206B-1 was as easy as a fixed wing to fly in a straight line. I did not like the vibrations at all, no wonder cameras don't work properly.
I've done speedway and I feel for your accident, I landed on my roof because some idiot pushed me into the wall. It's all fun and for all you young folk out there, treat your body well..! it's gunna hurt if you didn't like it in the first place.
9 + 1 = post this page.
Please look up dyscalculia and fluoride and mercury and NWO
the answer is 10..! cause i've got fingers.
I dont know if I should say this now, but I will anyway. When I was in my motorsport years I was a member of Thruxton Parachute club and on my log book I clocked up 6 static line jumps and 138 free fall from 12,000 feet, CPD the chutes are packed by pros who fill out a logbook and I trusted them they are safer than most people think. The Rally car did more damage to me than any jump.
Here's the thing about skydiving.
People pay good money to fly places, and here's these goofballs deciding that they're too good for the tiny plane they're in. So, they jump out of a perfectly good airplane, and go for a ride, trusting to heck and back that some other person packed a thing sheet of nylon just right, and nobody screwed with it.
Lol. Not sure who I'm originally paraphrasing, but lol anyway. (probably George Carlin... but I can't find it anywhere)

Live life because you soon get old like me then you have the money, but the body, just don't want to know.
My Mum went for a heli ride when she was 81 years old and she still talks about it.

Some guys I know whent for one of those pay-to-fly helicopter rides that cost like $1500 for an hour or something in just a stupid little thing so they could take areal photos of the East Broad Top Railroad. Needless to say, they weren't impressed because, "well, the helicopter ride was fun, but you couldn't get any pictures that would turn out. As it turns out, you need a special photography rig to counteract the vibrations from the rotors that would cost you, oh, um, about $5000. All of the photos I took, except for, oh, like one or two, were all blurry from the vibrations."
Wish I had the cash to fly in a heli and not be happy because my photos didn't turn out because I didn't feel like spending $5000 EXTRA dollars.
I really want, whenever I have the time and money to go to Georgia to the Army Aviation Heritage foundation and fly in one of their restored hueys. That just looks to be soooooo much fun!
But, for right now, never have flown, not in a heli or a jet or anything. (well, except if you include some times in karate where you wish you weren't flying... makes my side and kidney region hurt thinking about it! Uggg! Why do I have to be the crash test dummy when the official Magickarp 19 or 20 year old Crash Test Dummy isn't there? lol All so we can show people how to do it so they can't get hurt...)
But, I've at least worked on that same old huey I keep bringing up. Ahhhh. That year was one of the best in my life!
Supernova, the more you post one begins to realize you have had a wild crazy life and lived to enjoy.I think that is a great personal story to share with us all.More please!! And good on you Syma-Guy great work for the Air ambulance.
There you go again guys, what fantastic lives we all lead, and some times think we have not done a lot in our small place of living .Ego is controlled! Cool

Sounds like you had a very lucky escape! Bummer you missed the heli ride eh, but i'm sure you was in no fit state to enjoy it anyway.
I've had a Helicopter flight over the grand canyon about 7 years ago i'll remember that for the rest of my life.
The air ambalance do a great job, I live close to the north west air ambalance base and you would be amazed at the amount of air time that helicopter gets.
Two of my friends lost their lives a few years back in a car crash on the back roads when their car left the road and rolled over, the air ambalance where called out but one died in the car and the other died on route to hospital.
I have supported the air ambalance ever since that day.

I know we all love the 107 but how many people out there, have had the ride in a real Chopper ?
Myself I have only been in a real Heli once, but unfortunately I was not able to enjoy the trip, because I was pulled out of a crashed Stage Rally car on The Lombard RAC Round Britain Rally of 1978.
And to my embarrassment yes I was the Driver.
The car was a total wreck with the engine and rear axle parting company with the chassis after hitting a tree at about 110 MPH, but I was lucky as I only had 8 busted ribs, busted coller bone, busted arm, busted head, busted ego and severe loss of sponsorship, but they tell me the flight went ok.
My Navigator on the other hand took the full impact, he lost a few bits but recovered, he also missed the Chopper ride.
The crew of the chopper saved our lives but we will never know who they where.
