I do like the Electrics and they have the advantage of not staling then, having to wait till the wind blows it to the bank Yell

Petrol is not a problem anymore than a lawn mower is but they do shift a bit Laugh

Nice boat, it looks similar to my electric powered Robbe Magin 1 Cool

(not my video)

I also have a Tug, a jet ski, a shrimp boat, a (slow)speed boat, and 2 Minni Cooper's (on a springer hull) 😛

All of which are electric. I've never got into using petrol, the flammability of it partially scares me.Embarassed

Looks great! If I had the money, that's annother thing I'd do. Granted, mine'd be a model of an Arizona-Class battleship that would lumber along, be powered by a chainsaw, or a live-steam riverboat.

Chainsaw-powered one'd be fun to see--two speeds-off and fast. Propably would have to be very large, and would have NO problem shredding the waves and making nice, sharp turns. Heck, maybe make it look like a USCG Cutter! LOL!

Seriously, that's probably the way I would build a gas-powered boat-a servo to hit the gas, a $20 used chainsaw with a bad bar, two higher-gear gears and a chain off of an old bicicle or two, and one more servo powering the dual rudders. Maybe add annother prop powered by an electric motor for a little extra boost and braking/reverse. (although at a snail's pace...) Not sure what to use for the body, but I'm sure it'd be something cheap yet huge... LOL
