yeah, Muai Thai is, well, Thai.

They had that capuero on Fight Science, and while tv's been known to be wrong, I'm pretty sure they probably got it.

lol.

I though Maui Thai was Thailand or Vietnamese or something like that.. As far as that Brazilian one, I thought they came up with it to disguise themself to the guards to attack the guards lol.

That capelero, if it's what I'm thinking it is, is that one where martial arts were banned in Brazil or something, so they formed a dance art that hides deadly kicks and punches, which takes an insane ammount of skill, and would definately kill anybody who tried to fight somebody doing it.

Then Muai Thai's an Indian one where the objective is to get insanely close, and kneekick the crap out of the other person as fast as possable, or kick the other person in the calf with a rock hard, deadened shin. Personally, it's all well and good, but a Tang Soo Do straight-line uppercut would knock some Muai Thai goof back enough to front kick their head off.

The Krag Magna's a really good practical art. It's one of the modern ones that is built on being able to defend yourself from absolutely anything and the fact that all Isreali men have to be in the army. That one's probably a good bet to get into, no matter what problems anybody has

Out in the west coast we have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA,Tae Kwan Do, Japanese Ju-Jitsu, ninjutsu, I think that Israeli one called krag maga or something like that, fencing, I believe that Afro-Brazilian one called capalerio or what ever where the people look like they are dancing while kicking and punching and what not, Thai Chi, kick boxing, I think mui tai (unless that's just south of here..), and a couple others.

Kendo's a little harder to find martial art. There's certain areas where certain arts are more prevalent--where I live, there's almost nothing but (traditionally speaking) Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, a handfull of others that compete in open tournaments, and a Brazillian Jujitsu school or two. Compair that to the west coast, where there's straight and original Karate and Tai Chi along with some Tang Soo Do, some Tae Kwon Do, and I'm not sure what else. (I just know Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do are out there, but I don't know how much--never been out there)

Look around. You'll find something, no matter what it ends up being.

Just remember with racetball--don't wake up in a roadside ditch.

(and for our friends over the pond, )

Have you thought of Kendo. If you can get your arms over your head you're good to go. And you get to beat the snot outta someone. Great way to let off steam.Wink

Sorry I haven't been on here in a little while, I've been busy. I have physical therapy at around 2pm, and school before that, and after that (on Mondays and Friday's only) my sister has ballet. On Wednesdays... I just come home and relax. And there you have it. I should be in physical therapy until the end of this month I think... 🙁 I like it so much! But, nothing lasts forever.

And while I've been in physical therapy, me and my therapist have been thinking of sports for me to do, I thought of stand up paddle boarding, and he said that would be great! So, I'm going to try that this year next time we go to the lake.

There you have it, my life! Lol.

God bless,
