I think I charged the battery to many times while it was still hot and the inside start to crystallize.  Definitely don't have that issue now and I let it cool completely before charging.  Not bad for a $16 mod.

Welcome to the forum, That is a tidy modification but I/m surprised that you have a very short flying time.

2015-03-21-21.26.17.jpgImage Enlarger2015-03-21-21.27.01.jpgImage EnlargerI have had my Syma S107G for about a year and really never did anything with it until recently.  I broke it out and started flying it.  The flight time is ridiculously short.  Saying that I looked online and went to modding.  Added a 25C 390mah battery and modded to nose section to get it to fit.  Finished with re balancing the copter and ordered a new tail rotor from another copter for more speed.  So far I get 31 minutes of flight time before it starts to drop in altitude.  She is a heavy beast but not as slow to respond as I thought it would be.  Hover is 100% and that's a plus.  Hope to get some more pointers in this forum.

***Had to get a new USB charger for the new battery but not bad.***
