Carl, Thanks for your welcome and advice. I got mine on Amazon because of their

easy return policy, just in case I got a fake one. I lucked out, it's genuine! Following

what I've read on here, I think I'll order the 110V adapter for the USB, only $5 and

I'm not interested in soldiering in a new battery a couple of months from now.

Thanks again!!!

Hi JamDJ!

I've been on here for about 3 weeks now, and have learned so much!

There are many questions, answers, and videos here that will help address your issues, but quickly:

1. yes, so I've read, the 031 and 032 are good for outdoors on CALM days; the 031 probably better

since it is larger. I've read of no coaxial heli that really does well outdoors, though, due to the rotor

turbulence of coaxial; they both work VERY well indoors in gyms, rec rooms, armory-halls, etc., then;

2. regarding your issue of the iphone charger/usb/charging,, etc. etc. etc.  Whatever system you use,

it is critical that you ensure that the (a) connections all match up for usb to Syma, and (b) that the

voltage/amperage of the "charger" matches that of Genuine Syma.  When in doubt? buy genuine

Syma and avoid "frying" your heli; spend a few bucks and get the RIGHT part...

3. I ordered and received all my stuff from Amazon (generally considered a safe site, among others,

rc-fever, xheli, which you'll find here,) because they're USA, and usually include free shipping... ahem...

You decide, but I also bought spare parts from rc-fever because Amazon didn't HAVE THEM. Go Figure...

Welcome to the site, there are tons of things to learn about these little rascals, this site gives lots

of info and feedback, (and you'll LOVE the videos!)  but they are SO MUCH FUN!Smile

Hi, all!  Took awhile to get here. Finally got my 1st S107 and been flying for about

2 weeks now! Thanks to SymaFreak for helping me get on-line! My first heli was the

S111 I got for Christmas and have been hooked ever sinceLaugh. After looking into this

wonderful hobby, it became apparent that the 107 was the way to fly. Who knows

what can become of this? The 031, 032 for outdoors??? Anyway, glad to join this forum!

Can anyone help here?? Is it OK to use the I-phone charger in leau of hooking it up

to the 'puter to charge? They are both USB. I just don't want to damage the battery.

  Happy and safe flying!   JamDJ
