Hi to fellow flyers. Tony from Toowoomba Australia.

I'm stoked with these great little models stability and price.

I went looking for toys, for my sons two boys at xmas time. Walked into the shop and saw the SYMA heli Range sitting there and all my R/C memories came back to me and said "buy it stupid, the guys and you are gunna love it".. So I purchased 3 S105g and pulled my 105g out as soon as I got home. The model fly's like a charm and in no time I'm flying like an expert, he! hew! and it's amazing how much damage/punishment they take and still fly straight.

The next day with brain in flight mode, I went to the shop and bought the S033G I had my eye on first. Got it home ripped it out of the box and had an exciting time with that outside, but that's an other story and I'm happy to keep learning on the 105 to improve my heli flying. Still happy with the damage they can take, even the big one..

The boys and I had great fun with them over the holidays and brought us closer.

Went to the shop again to fetch the S006G and I love it. Need a bigger flat for it to fly properly inside, but when you do fly it inside without prop wash, it's so predictable and easy to fly as-well. It looks so pretty in flight and you just get a little prop noise of the bigger ones. I call this one Sexy and Stable..9 out of 10.

Still nuts about flight and flying I got onto the net and ordered 2 S107G and they came yesterday. Oh ! boy, am I in heaven. Wow the 107's are way better than the 105. Lift off & landings are so much easier, the throttle response is smoother and overall the best one for my situation inside. 9.5 out of 10.
Can't wait to battery mod the 107.

As the 105 and 107 assembly look the same, this problem may show up in the 107's eventually.??

After many flights, (lost count, but many fun hours) my 105 is not well, she started to fly funny two days ago with a twitching of the back-end like a willy wag tail in the hover. This got worse over the next two flights and eventually the flight times dropped off. I had about 2 minute normal flight and then it would flounder around near the ground for the rest. I thought it was the battery at first or the moutherboard mucking up, then noticed the back motor was twisting in the frame mount every time I pushed the throttle. I fixed the twisting motor and it still did the willy wag, but a bit better. Held 105 in hand with full throttle for 2 mins and the front motor I could put my lips on it (cockpit off) the back motor was way to hot to do that.
So my asumption is that, the hot motor was sucking battery amp power = bad flight air times, the gyro (wagging) was compansating for the hot worn motor.?? The motors look the same as the 107's with a black top motor in the front and a white top motor in rear.   Awaiting parts for verification on this problem. I Love a good post mortam..!

A long time flyer of fixed wing models. Took up R/C flying in my 20's until the marriage finished that..at 40(goodbye farm, I loved you too)! 58 now and still a kid with a model.

I can fly inside with my S107G, S105G, S006G and my S033G outside anytime I want. And no old cow is gunna get up me while doing it. I'm happy just to fly again and inside. Love the whole range of SYMA so far, good models.

P.S I can help anyone with straighting the S033G inner and outer shafts.
Over..Smile

Is there a shop in Toowoomba i can purchase one, or did you have to get them in brisbane or the gold coast??

LOL, Fun vids. Check out iMesh a music sharing site, I just signed up and it seems to be pretty cool.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was with soundcloud for awhile, but they restrict you to time played without buying a policy. They restrict only to 128kps and normalize your music and it sound bad sh1t when you go to listen to it.

Looking into SoundClick, they seem to be ok aswell.

This world, would be clearer without money involved.

I've seen numbers as high as 20 required to post, so you'll need your fingers and toes at times. Uh oh. This one is 9+12. I need to take off my shoes and my pants! Embarassed

Thats OK you should not take ya cloths off or any thing naughty, that dont add up cool.  If you wear thongs, you can use them like another 4 finger toes thiny. I works for me and not so embarrassment as taking ya pants off,,,,, get thongs.! Make sure you go to the right shop when you ask for a thong.

I've got another 1 + 9 = my feet without thongs on...!

I win..

I don't use goggles to search anything, I used yahoo to find this place and it was first on my search too. Pretty cool hey..!

SYMA site should show themselves fully, they make good machines.

I suffer from dyscalculia, but I love the additions to forward the posts, so easy for my dyscalculia head to get around, I'd be stuffed with no fingers to count on.. lol..

Thumbs rulz da Radio.

I think it's funny that this site is the top result if you Google "Syma S107," and the manufacturer's site doesn't show up at all. Confused

Thanks SF. Ex army and I like the, keep it simple stupid method.

When I first tried the internet for info on my 105, I found this site first on search but I felt like I was going just to a 107's site, I didn't have a clue about the different models syma have.

It took awhile for me to understand that forum topics were much about everything and I like it..!

I felt a bit left out when I first looked in here, but this is a great site for any mini heli pilots.

Now that Syma has got many wonderful tuff helicopters it would be nice to have forum for each  model. I agree that all models are built roughly the same way, but they do have their own little problems and flight restrictions.

P.S My old army mate was around this afternoon and I flew my 107 in front of him, a short demo. He could not believe the stability of the 107. He wanted me to fly again and now I think he has gone to buy one...
Cheers with a Beer

over...

This site is definitely open to all Syma owners, and we do talk about other models here quite a bit. Nobody should feel like we're that focused here. I don't know if SF and Supernova plan on making separate rooms for other models, because most of the fixes are pretty much the same on every model. I could see a possible justification for separating the metal airframe models and the military series, but even that is a small distinction.

I like what Troop-107G suggested and your reply Drewdane- Even now with all the topics out there it really is up to the viewer to search the forum for their needs.Would more topics confuse the issue even more?

I am always talking with Supernova on ideas to crank this blog more and more- I try to keep it "Kiss" old saying.

I have noticed if you searched on Google for say Syma forum we are on first page for this forum, that tells me we are all doing something correct. However there are things to keep changing to what the viewers need, and always consider any ideas that you guys want.

I will be doing some changes, nothing to much but just some tweaking of the forum. All your ideas are taken on board and both Supernova and myself consider all-Thank you all for making this forum a nice friendly place to talk about all Syma helis. As I have said before this is your forum, your posts make this forum what it is,so input is crucial-Thank you.SF

Thanks SF,

it's been interesting following the site feedback prior to joining the forum, all good stuff. The friendship talk with the old and young is inspiring to read.

Have seen all the videos on this 107 machine, (thanks Supernova)  which seems to be the same as the 105's construction. Will check out your vid on the 031, when finished, it's like the 033G in construction with probably a tad difference in flight I recon?.

I've straighten my S033G shafts with a 4mm runout twice (Need 2 screwdrivers and a flat glass to roll shafts on to fix) because of upper light wind layers taking it away and out of radio range, so be careful. There is bugger-all forward movement in any wind, same with my S006G even with tail rotor on full.

My 033G looked good at night, 250yds away, until the battery ran out, it fell from approx 200ft . I wish, I had video of that..! it looked like a fiery meteor ..The only way we found it was because the lights were still flashing in the dark paddock.  I'm impressed with what I bought, and they still fly after the punishment.

Whilst I'm here,Cool  I know the site is called syma107 dot thingy and I'm new here and don't want to be in trouble for suggesting this.

Could we open up this forum up to all other syma models with separate rooms/links?  I have not found a site other than this SYMA place to talk about or find parts etc.

EmbarassedJust a suggestion to the OP, make a welcome to all SYMA owners, a link off your link, would make this place rock. Great models and people that fly them are not snobby, etc. Just a thought..!

It's that, all SYMA heli's seem to be good and not toys at all.

Thumbs still practicing - Over.
