Got some more impressions and a question after my third flight. I find it much easier to practice and maintain altitude within a few inches off the floor, I guess the air is being reflected and pushed back to keep the heli afloat. Also is it normal for the transmitter light to blink when you first turn it on? Brand new AAs and the light becomes steady after a bit. Thanks

Hey guys, my name is Joe from NYC. Just took delivery of my new S109G Apache heli today (from amazon) and thought I would join up here. Initial impressions: its not as easy to fly as everyone says, particularly keeping a constant altitude! Anyway I'm enjoying it so far! I see a lot of mods here for the 107 that are not really possible on the 109 (tail rotor upgrade + flip mostly). Anyone mod there military choppers? Specifically I think I read that stacking two tail rotors on top of each other would increase speed. Does this work? I don't think I'm good enough to try it yet Surprised Will update with pics!
