I feel you should approach the company you bought from for a replacement, was it Amazon?

It was a problem out of the box.  The tail motor has never moved.  That's why I'm not sure if it's the motor or the receiver.

Hi, just another point, make sure tail motor is not spinning on spline, as push down to make good contact. Was this a problem out of the box?

The tail rotor only moves when given a forward or backwards input. Your problem is possibly the tail motor, try a little WD40 and rotate the motor manually then try again. It is replaceable but if it isn't the motor then the receiver board may be faulty.

As these helicopters are reasonably cheap Buy a second one and use this one as spares.

Hello-

My name is Ben I am from Iowa and Grandpa bought a S107 for my son last year.

The heli came out of the box with the tail rotor unresponsive.

Is this most likely a motor/wiring issue or a controller issue?

Can anyone advise me of how to troubleshoot this problem before I start throwing money at it?

Thanks in advance,

Ben
