If the tail's underpowered, just invest in an s107 main motor to replace it with, and angle it as needed to make it go faster.

Well put the big honking rear blade on the KXT and it's worse! Not what I expected, I think the rear motor is just woefully under powered. Won't buy another one of these but it is good for fooling around with and guess I'll just use it to learn how to do mods on and how to weld etc, before messing with my 107, which by the way is a dream to fly and has given me zero problems.I go out at dusk when there's no wind and chase the squirrels around with it,lol.

So went to the flea market and bought a KXT Helli, think 107 , just a tiny bit bigger. This one was set up to fly inverted, which I changed to fly right side up.  This is NOT as good as a Syma 107, not that much worse but just not as good a flier. Thing was it was only 20$ so what the heck, thought it would be good to learn mods on before messing with the Syma ( which I freaking LOVE). So first thing I notice it does not like to go forward or back wards. So I take off the rear struts and flip the rear rotor. Not much difference. So I'm going thru my part kit and there's one of the big azz rear rotors for my Protocol UH-60 sooo...it fits ( had to flip the motor right side up)! Got it charging and will test flight it as soon as it's done, should be fun to see what happens.Cool
