How do you pronounce Syma? Is it s I as in india or I as in eye? So S- eye - ma or S - i - ma?

I was looking into this whole thing a while back. They list DH as syma on a few sites, and they have similar logos, but the big difference is that Syma is Syma, and DH is Shantao or something like that.

Now, could shantao or whatever it's called be owned by syma, yes, but it really looked to me like it was one of those deals where they were trying to scream that they weren't, but nobody could hear it. Could be wrong, but it looks to me like they're two separate chineese companies.

Now, as for them looking similar, well, look at all of the helis out there--they almost all look nearly identical.

The biggest problem I see now is.that even my local service station filling you car up with petrol is selling rc helicopters..Can not help myself but check them out..you know most are fake copies of Syma helis that fly like s--- that upsets me as people will not get a good experience with a genuine Syma heli and never expand this hobby--guess got that off my chest- lol  Surprised

Yes I see what you are saying. True they (double Horse) could just be copying Syma. Definetly no comparison as far as ruggedness is concerned.

I found this when I search engined "are syma double horse?" -

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums.....?t=1324474

The reason I became suspicious is when my S032 arrived I noticed it looks very similar to my small Double Horse. I've had 2 DH's and AFAIC they are crap but this S032 is great and has lasted a few weeks so far. Maybe the company sells DH as their cheap low quality Heli like Asus and Asrock being the same company but Asrock the cheap budget motherboard. Syma might be the quality more expensive Heli.

For some reason the thread wont show so just do a search in your search engine "are Syma and Double horse the same company?"and see the result for the  RC groups website. *update - I was outside flying and yes I know the S032 isnt meant to be flown outdoors but it was almost dead calm but enough to lift the heli up. It must have been 20 meters up when I began to worry so I let it decend but I was overanxious and it dropped from 20 meters up and hit a bus stop shelter and bounced off! I picked it up and unwrapped the antenna cable as it had become entangled in the prop and it worked perfectly  - it was a nasty drop so I'm surprised it still works so obviously these are well made litlle Helis.
