My new S111G shipped with the spring. Today I follwed SN's video and removed the spring, and then put it around the throttle lever as he showed. Just did a test flight, and of course it works great. Thanks for the tip SN.

Yup...  none of mine have springs, and they have all been purchased sinde late august.  Just got a little U4 from an outfit called 'RED5' here in the UK, (got it at Hamleys in glasgow) and it had a spring. didn't like it....  now removed! :-)

My new Syma 107G shipped with the spring removed also. I thought it was broke cuz I read on the forum everybody was doing the mod. Cool

Hiya, thanks for the replies. My S107g is flying brilliantly. The reason I wondered if my S109 was a fake is because firstly the build seems far poorer quality, the remote control feels cheaper and the heli won't fly it constantly cuts out.

Thanks though guys,
Mark

Have a few 109G from many sellers..no fakes..guess as all plastic body build-but could be wrong..nice base heli- still rank the Syma 107 as the best..

Yeah, they're sending out almost all of the new ones without return springs. As for the "fake" s109g, I haven't heard of any fakes of those yet, and while it's possable, I doubt it's really a fake. The blades, motors, everything is different between the s107 and military helis, so certain ones may look like fake s107's, but are real. Of course, there is a bad version of the one chinook out there, so it is possable.

Hi and welcome to the forum, I think some now are sent without the spring, so I would think that is ok.

Hi all,

I just got my new s107G through the mail from Amazon. Now I have had a s109g before not from Amazon which I believe was a fake. Anyway Straight a away I noticed the throttle on the new 1 hasn't got a spring in it and I have seen countless videos and forums with people saying they remove the spring to make it better to fly. I'm wondering is mine a possible fake with it not even coming with a spring or is this the new way?

Thanks,

Mark
