How to switch controller modes for syma x6 quadcopter

Turn controller on

hold the "turn left/right" trim button to the right

turn controller off, then back on.

***Make sure you are using the "turn left/right" trim button on the right side of the controller directly under the control stick.***

To return to mode 1 do the same except instead of the trim button, hold the control stick to the right.

I won one of these at a fair by shooting out the star with an air powered BB gun, yes it can be done.

I just recently noticed the above question about switching the controller settings from Mode 2 back to Mode 1... and I'm having the same problem.  I've just started to fly my Syma X1 quadcopter.  Having the S111G and the S107G -- all three have the right stick controlling turning right and left.  I wanted the Syma X1 to have the sticks operate like the Estes Proto X Quadcopter and the Hubsan X4 Quadcopter(with the right stick controlling the "slanting" turn right and left... and the left stick controlling the straight right and left turn).  The manual for the Syma X1 says that the default power on is Mode 1.  Mine operates with power on in Mode 2 (different than the Estes and the Hubsan) and I wanted to change it to Mode 1 (I think the way it is supposed to be according to the manual!?).  However, I can't figure out how to do that.  Does anyone have any ideas on how this might be done?  It would be nice to have all three quadcopters operate the same way with the stick movements.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.    Hans

A feature that is worth mentioning is that the Tx is switchable between Mode 2 and Mode 4. However, the manual describes them as Mode 1 and 2, respectively

By mode, do you mean the actual mode for the control sticks, or the frequency that the transmitter transmits and the heli receives? I don't have a quad myself to say how you switch stick modes, but in case it's changing frequency, here's how to do that.

How the s107 works is you shut the unit and the remote off, then hit the switch to go to the second frequency. Then you turn the heli on, then the remote. Throttle up, throttle down, throttle back up to lift off. Now, I can't say if the quads have something different or not, but that's how it is with the 107's.

Hopefully one of the guys that have a quad can poke along and give some help if it's the remote mode.

G'luck!

We are having difficulty with the directions for changing the controller settings from Mode 2 back to Mode 1. I purchased two of these quad copter and the second on I purchased for a family member was defaulted to Mode 2. We would like to return it to the Mode 1 setting, which is how mine was set to make it easier to operate. Can anyone out there provide us with step-by-step instructions for changing the controller mode settings? The instructions were really not useful. Thanks, Charlie.
