Is my goal to swap the black tip from the Old shaft with the broken tip?
OR
Changing the entire shaft and tip with the new one?
AS stated in my last 2 posts… I can not get the old shaft past the gears.
And
I tried removing just the tip from the new one and that seems impossible as well.
Day 2…I hope I’m almost there…
Please reply
Thank you again,
Eddie
Thanks for your patience.
Look at this revised jpeg:

I’m pulling at point A with a pliers in an attempt to remove the shaft at point B. Is that correct? I feel like I’m about to damage the helicopter. I’m pulling quite hard.
Looking for reassurance before continuing.
What a long day.
Thanks again and again.
Eddie
I took a needle nose pliers and pulled from the top of the shaft. Nothing happened. I do not think I was too timid. I turned the gears but I’m not quite certain how to remove the old shaft.
Here is where I’m at.

I feel if I pull harder I may bend something or damage the circuit board.
Does anything else need to be loosened?
Thanks,
Eddie
I'm feeling quite dumb and quite appreciative.
Eddie
You are not dumb buddy, repairing helis is a learning curve, the shaft can be stiff to pull out,try with pliers, gentle but with more force-keep us all posted

Thank you.
I did watch that video earlier today. I even captured an image at each step and printed them out. I just can't seem to remove the old shaft.
I will try again with more force.
If that does work, I assume I need to attach the pieces from the old shaft onto the new one (see below)

I have been searching and watching videos all day. This forum is the best help by far. I found a way to replace the main shaft here.

Is that actually how involved it is.
If so I may be over my head.

Thank you!!
I really appreciate the help.
I’m trying to replace the Main Shaft.
I don’t know exactly which screws to loosen, or how much to force anything. I see gears that I don’t want to disrupt.
Here is where I am at:

What is my next step?
Also is getting the parts in the top of the next photo onto the new Main Shaft simply a matter of loosening the screws and moving them?

I’m guessing by how much my son loves this helicopter that I may become quite good at fixing them soon. I HOPE
Once Again:
Thank you,
I really appreciate the help.

Yes, check the shaft first to make sure the shaft isn't bent (it shouldn't be) then loosen the screws in the center of the tip to take it off. Also, there will be brackets that connect the flybar and rotor, detach those from either the flybar of rotor bracket. And you will probably want to take the rotors off too just to make sure the rotor won't break when you put it back into its place on the new tip.
I hope I helped and good luck!

Hey, I had the same problem. Here is what I ordered.

I also bought a really small, very long screw driver for those hard to reach places.
I wouldn't recommend flying it until you get the part though.
Hope that helped,

My son received a S107G helicopter for Christmas. After a few flights the top propellers are flopping and the helicopter is uncontrollable. I have spare parts and I’ve searched the Internet but I don’t see what the problem is. Hopefully once I can idendify the problem, I will be able to fix it with the spare parts. I took 5 photos. The URLs are below. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it [and so would my son 🙂 ].
