S107 Tail Support Rod Mod
Have a broken one or can't find a replacement for the small plastic piece to attach the tail support to the frame ..this mod is a permanent alternative to the plastic fastener.

WOW, WD40, Thanks for that post!!!!

No need to apologise, that's one of the best mods we've seen

on here yet for the S107! Great work and thanks

for the pics. I haven't seen that mod done yet!

Welcome, once again  and please keep posting often!

Using a large paper clip, you can get rid of the flimsy plastic anchors on the frame for the tail support. The mod also retains the aethstetic look since you don't have to worry about the color of the anchor. I'm new to the Syma world so apologies if anyone has a similar mod.  See pics below which are pretty self-explanatory.

-Straighten the paper clip and insert thru the holes previously used to stop the anchor from rotating.  If concerned about the transmitter touching the metal, you can put shrink tube or electrical tape over the clip wire between the frames.

-Trim so only about a 1/4 - 1/2 extends extends beyond the metal frame

-Use needle nose to bend the ends at a 90 degree angle toward the supports on the tail decoration

-The support rod is hollow and the paper clip is the perfect thickness to insert over the end of the clip.

-Loosen the tail decoration support so you can secure the other end.  Reassemble and done.
