Hi,that will cost you more money than buying a new one at $20, keep the old one for spares, and learn in your own time how to repair helicopters and quads, that really is part of the hobby. View forum for help
Hi. Ive got ana S107 that worked perfectly. I havent flown it in a while. Now when I try to fly the front lights come on, the small green light on the board comes on and the rear rotor tries to spin (it will move about 2 mm) and the main rotors will not spin at all. I checked the charging cable and it seems to be intact with testing with a meter. I took the remote apart and the front fuselage off the heli to see if wire were loose/cut but can’t see anything. When I do plug it in the cable light stays red. I was thinking maybe it’s the battery but the front lights keep working. Any suggestions?
Thanks
It sounds like the battery not holding complete charge.Fix Here
Hi ,
I have bought Syma 107S , And it was working for a day or two , And then Light shows glowing , And even changed batteries into remote , But its still not flying .
Any issues or anything can be done .
Did you have any bad crashes?Do the props turn at all. There could be lots of different problems.Like battery not charging or a crash has broken the dogbones on props.Check out forum here
My syma s 107 helicopter won’t move I bought new batteries charged it for an hour the light turns on but it will not move! Please help
Hi there – your gear replacement video was so helpful but…it cut out before you showed how to get the last year off, and that is the one we need to replace. It does not slide off like the others do – any suggestions?
thank you!
I have a Syma S107G, for couple days fly so good, and suddenly got a Problem.
The Helicopter fly well, but the Body of the Helicopter Spinning just like the Blade, I can turn Right or Left because the body spin out of control. I can’t control the helicopter when it fly.
it spin like Crazy and extremely Sensitive. please help, how to Fix it?
thank you for your attention
Hello, buy a syma s107 and I can not make the radio controlled helicopter with what I saw in some videos is that there is a green LED behind the helicopter, in my case that does not light up and the light stays Radio Control simpre red. I have always lit first and then radio controlled helicopter, I’ve also tested on all ABC bands but does not work, is new and never worked. is brand new, freshly out of the box. thank you very much. gaston
It is not binding, turn remote on first then heli on a flat surface and wait a few seconds, maybe you are using wrong channel on remote
Hi all. I just bought an S107G and it worked great for the first three charges. Then shortly after I was using it after the second charge the helicopter just suddenly lost power to the rotors and dropped to the floor. Ever since thne it seems to be working spurratically. It will fly for a 15 – 30 seconds and all of the sudden just loose power. The throtle seems to not work or I should say that its working sometimes. I have read quite a few posts about S107G issues but none of them sound quite like this one. Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix?
Sounds like you are losing infra-red signal from remote to heli-do not fly near digital TV,change batteries in remote to start with-do you charge helli by usb or remote?
Hello my 107g stopped working, will not turn on the light front or rear small green light, nor charge, it can be. Thank you very much.
Hola mi 107g dejo de funcionar, no le prende la luz delantera ni la pequeña luz verde trasera, ni tampoco carga, que puede ser. Muchas gracias.
Hi,
I have the same problem as John M, but has dissassembled the machine and the gears seem OK and are not out of alignment. It seems that the fore-most small cylindrical motor (at least I think it’s amotor) that drives the cog that turns the lower blades is not turning at all. The rear motor, that drives the upper blades is working fine. I have had a good look at all the wires and the circuit board and everything appears OK.
Any ideas? If it is a new motor unit that’s needed, is this fixable at home? I’m not sure that I fancy re-souldering all the wires back in place correctly!
Thanks,
Charlie
Can anyone help me? I hace a syma 107 . Perfect working for 2 days but now the tail motor doesnt stops. I tried using it until it went of baterías and then full charge but the problem continues. Thanks.
Did you ever figure this problem out? I have the same problem right now after a big crash. The tail rotor spins constantly as soon as the helicopter is powered on. The controller seems to have no effect.
My Symantec 107 keeps spinning around extremely quickly, trim wont help and it is impossible to fly.
It is brand new please help
Sox put Symantec instead of Syma, auto correct is evil…..
You probably have one of two things going on. Either there is some debris in the gears that is causing friction and keeping one pair of rotors from keeping up with the other or you have a rotor motor going out. If it’s the latter you’ll be better off just buying a new one so you can use the old one for replacement parts as things break. I’ve had to replace just about everything but the gears and lights on mine at one time or another.
Hey. Syma s107 problem. This is a tough toy. Fixed a few other breaks, but now…W/ new battery it will not fly. Both blades spin but it won’t lift off. With left turn input it lifts with body spinning. Right turn input barely turns it to right. Burned out motor? Which one? Thanks
1) Make sure that the new battery is correctly charging.
2) Does the heli rotate with trim and control centered? — this may not be very indicative, as the copter’s electronic gyro WILL compensate for torque-spin if trim is correct.
3) Make sure you didn’t damage the wiring to the front motor, or disrupt the lower rotor’s gearing, while replacing the battery.
4) Is there an abnormal noise coming when you run up power, esp trying to turn right?
If I understand the construction of S107 correctly, you’re interested in the lower rotor and front motor. You have a loss of power to this motor somehow…
I think I posted about this before, but can’t find where I posted it. Oops.
My S107 has a blade strike problem. Namely, when disturbed by a near-crash or heavy turbulence, the balance bar will hit the bottom rotor blades, causing an instant crash and gradually breaking bits away from my bottom rotor blades.
How can I fix this blade strike issue?
By what I’ve gathered, I need to limit the travel range of the balance bar, but I’m not sure how to do that…
I have the same problem. Already destroyed a few blades trying to figure this out.
I’ve got a tentative repair for the blade strikes. Will try for something a bit more elegant later.
You need RTV silicone sealant, a steady hand, and lots of patience.
1) Apply a small amount – 1/8″ or 2mm – of silicone to the balance bar, where it would contact the screws that attach the top rotors to the main shaft, on both sides.
2) Balance the blades so the balance bar rests stable and flat. If you can, balance the heli by the top rotor to make this easier.
3) The hardest part – wait for the silicone to cure. If you can stand the wait, give it 24 hours. If you can’t take the wait and want to fly your Syma – who can blame you? – give it two hours and fly it gentle, don’t let the balance bar rest on the silicone until 24 hours.
If you have another substance you can apply to that area of the balance bar, that should work just as well.
Don’t apply too much, or you’ll restrict the natural movement of the bar and lose major stability of your heli!!!
Does the Balance Bar have to be equal on both Spans ie if balanced at centre the Balance Bar remains perfectly horizontal?
Try using your wife’s straitening iron, It should melt the blades back into place. DO NOT press the blades too long. just use feathery touches.
Hi, i have had my syma for a while, but i think this time ive crashed it a bit badly… in a pond to be exact, but somehow it still works. however when you put the throttle up it starts rattling because all the gears and the shaft and really loose. do you know how to tighten them…? thanks, ruan
Hi there,
My S107 did crash and the tail motor wire get cut, how I can fix it.
Thank you
Lots of info on forum-You might need to do some soldering!
I kown that answer Syma Freak! Did you ever solder the tiny tail wire to the tail motor? if yes pls provide pictures, details
Because you can not see where is the junction point to solder the wire? is there a way to remove to top materiel covering the tail motor to see where exactly the soldering will go?
Thank you
(Same josh as below, not sure the icon will stay the same, different PC)
What I’d recommend is to re-solder the wires themselves, unless the wire broke off the motor directly. In which case … uh, yeah, even I (an experienced electronics technician) would have trouble with THOSE tiny wires and terminals!
Hi, I just purchased my s107 and after crashing it a few times the lower main blades stopped spinning, not the top blades that I see everyone talking about. How do I trouble shoot these lower blades and which parts might I need?
Thank you,
John
Check the wires from the control board to the motors.
I don’t have my S107 yet and I can’t tell you which motor drives which blade-set… Rotating them by hand and seeing which gearset turns will tell you, though.
Also, inspect the control board. There’s a chance it could have gotten cracked …
My lower blades stopped working after a ruff landing !
The only thing wrong was that the back motor had slipped out(up) from the holder(cheap) and the gears were not mateing. Be careful when you push the motor back down and kept moving the blades so the gear teeth slips down into the other gear
My son recently received a Syma S107 and after learning to hover he flew to high in the living room and got tangled in the ceiling fan and it came crashing down. Since then the unit won’t take off and if you pick it up and help it fly it goes out of control tilting sideways and crashing to the ground. I’ve checked the eight gears and they all spin I have a feeling that one of the shafts are bent but a confirmation would be great. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks
Hi Jeremy, I posted a few days ago. I’m thinking that I may have a bent main shaft also. My heli still flies…but hovers in an ever widening circle. I’ve “googled” this problem and am led to believe that it’s probably the main shaft being slightly bent. I haven’t gotten any response on this forum. You’ve checked to make sure all of the connect buckle parts are attached correctly right? I’ve had a couple of them come off or mis-allign.
i seen a video on that the top blade has a pieace that has hands that make the top blade stay level and im still looking for it to repair my grandsons and i cant find it here in forum one of the top guys here made the video is seemed easy these hands snap off from a severe crash and seems to be the only part effected it showed lightly turning the top blade black connector where the the top blade is connected to shaft and if it wobbles then those hands are broke off blade will still spin but not level…if u find this video please pass it where abouts back to me where to find it again in this forume email me at jerryconnelly54@yahoo.com thanks n good luck
Video think you need-Here
Barry, my heli had the same problem (i think). I can’t figure out which screws you’re talking about. There’s only one long screw going through the top.
My S107 won’t fly right out of the box. The blades seem to crash into each other right after take off (see video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfu6BdpLQcM). Any ideas?
I had this problem after my son crashed his. It took me a while to find but it turned out to be the inner shaft was broken. At the top of the inner shaft is a pair of nubs that hold up the top blades. If these are broken, the blades are only held up by the straps and can tilt much more so that they can hit the bottom blades. This then smashed my bottom blade :-(. I notice that a number of suppliers are out of stock so perhaps it is a weak point.
is there site I can go to to show me how to change the shaft?

Just purchased the S107 for my son, and after a few minor crashes, the tail rotor will only spin intermittently – not allowing the heli to move forward or backward. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am having a similar prolem with one of mine, have you checked where the wires join the circuit board? if the solder cracked or it has come away then this would explain it. also check the back end to see if any wires have pulled away from the silver cylinder unit. Hope this helps.
I’ve got a similar issue, had a few crashes and tumbles and now the tail motor won’t work.
I thought it might have burned out but fiddling with it a bit (Pulling the motor out of the black casing) and moving it about will make it spin up a bit, but never for very long and not at the level of spin it should be according to the transmitter.
Also when I can get it spinning up it doesn’t seem to respond very quickly, when I come off the power it takes a second or two to stop.
I’ve checked the soldering which looks fine.
Would this be a burnt out motor? I would have expected nothing at all from the motor if it was burnt out.
If I need to replace the motor (which is my suspicion) is it a case of soldering the new wires to the PCB or can I solder them to the existing wires? I’m really not good with a soldering iron so a cheat would be great.
hey i have recently bought a s107 . it flew good when i got it but i crashed a few times , now everytime i take off it takes a hard left an crashes how can i fix this problem ?? also my landing gear crack on 1 side would that cause my s107 not be able to take off as it should
When you say “takes a hard left”, do you mean the copter turns hard and spins out of control, or it tilts over rapidly and hits the ground?
In the former case, you might have a jammed, gummed, or cracked gear. Scroll up and check the “S107 spins and will not take off” video above, or the “Replace gears in S107” video, on how to check and repair this problem.
In the latter, the flybar at the top (the gyrosocope) might have a problem – if it pops loose you’ll have zero control over your copter. You should be able to inspect the mechanism and find the problem if this is the case.
Hi guys, I got an S107 about a month or so ago..then got one for my god-son. We’ve been getting pretty good at flying them and I purchased them through the recommendation of this website. I’ve been impressed how the little bugger can take a lickin’ but keep on tickin’ HOWEVER, in a minor brush with the wall today, the small heli seems to now gyrate in circles which get larger and larger in a stable hover. Looking over the whole thing, I can’t see anything which appears to be broken, bent, etc. Any ideas? It will still fly. It just won’t stay in one spot…like something is out of balance or something. When I can get it to hover right in my line of site..I see the balance bar bobbing up and down slowly. Thanks for any input.
Hey Drew,
I am a beginner with the S107’s but I noticed mine doing the same thing today. I looked it all over and everything looked straight. BUT, I looked in at the battery at the front of the nose and now see that it is tilting to the left (which would probably explain the large circles). I am not certain if fixing this will solve the problem but I plan to take the red body off, place the battery back to its vertical position and give it a try. I’ll try to keep you updated!
Thanks Cody, I guess I should take the front off and have a look too before I go and start replacing other components.
Hi. DrewP
I have same problem with my S107. Someday he crashed and started gyrate in circles which gets larger and larger in a stable hover. nothing was broken, but i I replaced some parts like balancing bar, inner shaft and all blades.
Did you solved the problem of enlarging circles?
Mine is doing same thing after hitting wall. I took apart and looks ok. But circles instead of the usual steady hover. Makes for some radical forward backwards rocking.
Barry, what was your solution for the top rotor blades and balance bar slipping? We are having the same problem. Thanks!
soy nuevo en esto mi syma se prende pero no vuela ayuda por fa
Have you found a solution
Hi everyone. My top rotor blades (and balance bar)slip on the shaft. I have not seen any comments about repairing this problem. This is my second set and they both have stripped screws. Is there an easy fix without buying more parts? This is for a Syma S107.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Is there a glue or epoxy that might work?
Never mind..I figured out a solution.
Barry, what did you do? My top blade slips and hits the bottom one, I have no idea what to do.
could you pass on the solution to me please?
Hi JMY, Ryan and Annette, it sounds like you all had the same problem as I did. For whatever reason, the S107 has the 2 small screws attaching the Balance bar and top rotor to the top shaft. These 2 screws are too small for their job and if they are not tight enough they will slip on the shaft. The best thing to do BEFORE they slip is to make sure they are always tight, but tightening them too much will strip the plastic threads of the housing.
Anyways, since yours is already slipping, this is what I did. I bought myself some 5 minute epoxy at the dollar store. It comes in a double (side by side) syringe. Loosen the 2 small screws and remove the top rotor blade for the helicopter. Mix a small amount of the epoxy as per the instructions on the epoxy tube and take a very small wire and push some of the epoxy into the hole on the top rotor blade. Push the blade back onto the shaft making sure one of the small screws line up with the slot on the shaft (check the alignment out before applying the epoxy to see how it goes on the shaft). Tighten the 2 screws…and if they are stripped, thread them in as far as they will go and wait at least an hour or so. Keep in mind that if you have too much epoxy, it can push out of the tube and get on the spacer between the top and bottom blades. Make sure the spacer spins freely and wipe of any excess epoxy which may have gotten on the spacer. If you are unsure, turn the spacer with your finger tips every minute or so for the 1st few minutes to make sure it isn’t glued to the top blade. Remember, this stuff is 5 minute epoxy, it doesn’t give you alot of time to work with.
Let me know how this worked out for you.
Good luck, and happy flying.
Barry.
this is rubbish nothing here to say how to fix spinning problem ?????????????? wtf
@Dan-bit of an inane comment-read what a lot of neat guys put on comments and forums-Spinning-what taking off-in flight, have you crashed your heli, how long have you owned it? how many hours of flying? etc, then we might be able to get to your problem and to help you fix your Syma
I had the spinning/ no take off problem, and it turned out to be the lower blade had moved upward on the shaft. I gently pused it down, and problem solved.
Focalprice has all the parts and ship for free for S107 and related copters
@Glen Have never bought from Focalprice are all parts genuine that you have bought?
hi sf, please post on how to replace the tail blade of s107.thanks
Hey, I’ve looked all over trying to find replacement gears for the Syma S107. I’ve ordered 2 sets off of ebay from hong kong or somewhere but never received them.
Does anybody know a place in the US to get the and get them fast?
thanks
@Matt No cheap spares in US I know of-did you go to my spare parts page for the Syma S107
Syma Freak, Based on the assumption that the gears for the S107 and S108 being identical I have a bunch of em’
I have read that the S107 and S108 are identical as far as gears, motors, etc. It is false with the exception of the gear sets.
The S108 uses a considerably different tail motor and landing skid assembly than the S107.
Also some of the performance mods’ posted aren’t so good. Removing the balance weights from they fly bar does indeed increase the turning abilities of the S107.
The cost is that it makes the unit unstable. Likewise stuffing a BB in the front nose cone increases the forward velocity of the unit at the cost of needing more room to maneuver. Syma seems to have taken notice and the newer units do a very good job of getting around relatively tight quarters without sacrificing performance. I have found that the S108G is superior until you have to change out the battery or worse yet have to replace the rotor shafts.
Anyone with hints on how to get those bits replaced would be replaced.

I have been able to purchase almost any Syma parts from
Mr. Yeung Kwok Kuen
PO Box 84261
Hunghom Bay
KLN Hunghom, Hong Kong
Hong Kong, 82729858
He ships everything certified mail(signature required). His prices are reasonable, shipping time is acceptable, and he has been quite responsive to questions. I cannot give you a company name but he can be found at amazon.com. The downside is that he sells in bulk type quantities.
Sincere Regards,
gg@g2net.org
@Gizmo51 Try to get the website will help us all,if genuine parts
Syma Freak, My apologies for not providing all the information I could to assist in finding Syma parts.
ALIExpress.com is where I have found just about any part I need for my 8 squadron collection of RC Heli’s. Most are S107’s, with a handful of S108G’s and a couple odds and ends. I can only attest to the fact that my orders are promptly shipped, well packaged, and are not fake parts. As I stated earlier the Co. generally sells in bulk. (usually 10 per pack).
Another potential is RC-Fever.com. They do sell single bits but have rather steep unit costs and freight charges.
If these 2 don’t give you a start feel free to contact me at gg@g2net.org
Sincere Regards,
Gizmo51
Try RC-Fever.com They seem to have most parts available, ship quickly and freight costs are reasonable(?)
@Gary Greeler I agree and put a post on the links for all Syma Heli Parts from RcFever-post here
Go to amazon.com.full replacement set for 10$ with free shipping. I got the package in two days
Love the gear replacement video! Gave me a “birds eye view” of the disassembly process!
@badgersden Hope it helps-pretty easy heli to repair and parts available and fairly cheap
