Lastest Syma Up Dates
This is a quick up date of how I am going flying the Syma S107 Remote Helicopter as of 12/14/2010
I am unhappy-My best little girl in fact my first Syma S107 that got me hooked has just died a slow death.
My Syma Battery Advice
She took off had some great spins and started to descend after 2 minutes of flying to the floor- No puff left to rise up-She looked really sad just spinning on the floor: I was devastated-This had been with me for at least 2 months and harassed my dog who was happy to see my Syma die at my feet-So many hours of flying-so much fun-What should I do- Dig a hole and bury my greatest friend -NO NEVER
I gently took the canopy off my mate to find a swollen weeping battery!! I held the tears back- Was this my fault??
After some deep meditation and talking to my Syma mates on forums I had asked too much from here, especially her power force the battery-
After every flight I charged her-Then another flight-Did I ever consider her battery-No never-Did I ever let the battery cool down before charging- NEVER!!
Ok let me get real here-This great heli will keep flying but you have to have respect for her power force ("May The Force Be With You" some BS)
As posted before on battery care -Realize this is really crucial for any remote helicopter or plane is battery care- They must cool down between charging-At least 15 minutes-Hard shit I know, however face the facts. Your trusted Syma S107 will die if you do not care for her.
Happiness is abound- Implant a new power force
As you can tell quiet mad on Remote Toys but the biggest problem we have is not letting the battery cool down before recharging-This is for any remote RC product.
12/15/2010 My Syma S107 is awaiting a new battery- Need to feel those blades swishing air in my face as she spins around me-Sensible up date soon.
03/23/ Good news, fitted new battery and flying my original Syma S107G again: Since then have bought 4 more with out a remote from Focalprice - yes mad I know but they give me so much fun. I buy them for friends on their birthday and presents for last Christmas-Going to approach my local hospital to see if can give some to the children ward-Will see if companies like Focalprice might help on the cost, as really not flushed with spare cash at the moment-Will keep you guys posted on my crazy idea!!
08/01/ Yes I am still cranking all Syma Helicopters, my latest is the Syma S800G 4 channel heli that you can drift right or left. I did a review here really a neat bird to fly.As said on review could be a bit of competition to the Syma S107g. Come on guys get a Syma heli.. you will crank some huge fun.
Above all leave some crazy comments so I know not totally alone out there Lol

Waaaoow, you’re right
Hello!
I got hooked on microchoppers and R/C copters in general by an admittedly VERY GOOD salesman at a less than local R/C shop. He had a neat demo for total knock-off micros similar to the S107. He’d be showing me one, “Be careful with these, they’re fragile,” then just carelessly tosses it over his shoulder. He had one with no throttle return spring, “Meet my copilot, Mr Counter”, and sets the controller down to let the heli hover by itself. If he landed a little rough, “I don’t pick up things that fly,” nudges it upright with his foot, takes off. Needless to say, I was sold.
On a $50 little heli that I admittedly overpayed for. Granted, I flew this thing constantly and took meticulous care of it – when I wasn’t flying it into couches, walls, and stepways. It was a sad day when the pinion gear on … I think the lower rotor? began slipping, then the lower rotor blade got broke off and I was out of spares. Also broke a landing skid, but had that glued back together. She’s been sitting in storage ever since …
… although now I have a pair of S107s (what brought me here in the first place) being shipped to me as I type this. I suspect, after researching, that they will be clones (sold by Woot.com, an Amazon affiliate, and badged by World Toys), but I’m sure they’ll give me just as much fun as my original heli, if not more! I’ll make sure to take care of their batteries too – I was always so paranoid of my old one’s battery!
@Josh Must admit there are some really great sales people working market stores flying helis, all looks great until you buy a fake at a rip off price,go back the next week-never to be seen again.Your purchase from Amazon is the best place as you can return if faulty. You will have a lot of fun with Syma Helis

BUT CAN’T FIND IT ON THE OTHERS.. so what holds.. the top rotor, snug, to the axel, below the buckel nubs.. any help thank timeyou x10 5 power.. almost new bird.. hate just hate ‘part it out” arg@#$% ideas, answers? robert at playguitar55@hotmail.com.. i will pics if needed.. well wadda u know my “blue” says it’s time to fly! any help. ?? i would be grateful.. I’m brand new with Rc helicopters. I definitly love the S107. I’m looking forward to reading more great info on this site
@badgersden Great to see you here-any info on the Syma S107 should be covered on my reviewHowever if you need any help contact me or look at my new forum The Syma S107 is to me the best heli for beginners to start with,as easy to fly and durable- and cheap! Take care-SF
That is the main problem with this type of heli. It would not have taken much for the original designers to fit her with an easily removable battery. Might have added a few grams and even added a little to the cost, but it would have made it an even more perfect product.
Good luck with your transplant operation. I doubt you will have any trouble reviving her and she will live again to fill your heart with joy. I have fallen in love with my little Blue Belle and promise to let her battery cool down and wait the additional agonizing minutes between flights.

@SpadCat I agree a removable lipo battery would have been great-it could have fitted under the landing slides-Trying to work on a easy mod, not easy-Thank you for your comment.- Syma Freak
Hi Syma Freak,
Once I am able to work out in the open (I am hiding my S-107 from my boys and a grandson and granddaughter since I have S-107 Christmas gifts for them) I will be able to open her up to take a look. I am not interested (at this time) in putting a bigger battery, but just making the original easily changeable. This way if you have a number of charged batteries, you just pop them in when needed and fly. This is what we do with our foamy 3D fixed wing ships. I have 18 2s 800mas and have never used more than 10. That is a lot of flying. We also have a bunch of low cost balance slow chargers which makes recharging easy to manage.
Anyway, I will follow your progress with the battery situation. Thanks for your contribution to a fun sport!

@ SpadCat Hey dude you are a machine (I have 18 2s 800mas ) Good on you buying them for a Christmas present your boys and Grandson will love them-I did something against my grain by buying 3 cheap ones from an Ebay seller for friends and family this Christmas-They are rejects and do not fly-My stupidity- I am seriously thinking of buying 30-50 genuine Syma S107 from China – And before I send to buyer will delicately open and charge and check that the Syma is ok-will also give report.
Problem being could cost $50 a syma 107 delivered-Do you think that would interest folks-results about $5 profit to me- not that worried as long as cover my costs-As feel so strongly about the Syma S107 is a great heli for beginners and hate people getting ripped off with fakes -sorry to go on -Give me your views.
$5.00 is not a whole lot of money to make, but if it is worth while to you, it is all good. $50.00 shipped may be a little steep. My four S-107’s I purchased from Amazon (X-Heli) cost $30.00 ea plus a little change shipped. Afterwards, I found our LHS carries and supports the S-107 with parts and service, and they sell them for about $40.00. If I was buying only one, that would be ok, but to spend an extra $40 plus dollars is too much for four of them. Also, I just spent $180.00 for two 9035’s there and found out afterwards, I could have purchase 3 of them from X-Heli and would have saved $15.00 more dollars. Catch is, the LHS had them in stock and X-Heli didn’t. But, I knew very little about the state-of-the-art in Helis and am thankful the hobby shop got me interested in Helis again. When I was buying the 9053s, she did mentioned that she had a $40.00 coaxial heli that was great for beginners and also very reliable, which turned out to be the S-107.
Back to your original question, for the person who is brand new to the hobby, $50.00 may not be too expensive for a tested and shipped heli (one could lose a whole lot more buying junk!) You would need to market it though various means such as advertising (expensive) or personal demos at the mall and the like. Hope I am not taking up too much bandwidth :). Earlier today, I think I could have sold 6 or 7 or more because I took little “Blue Belle” to work where I flew it in front of a bunch of my co-workers. They said they were crossing things off their gift list and adding this one. I gave them the LHC’s address. They really loved it!
Anyway, good luck to you in your worthwhile endeavor!

@SpadCat No you are never wasting bandwith great to have your comments-Yes I will do more research to find a better company in China- Am not looking at profits for myself so much but to make sure people do not get ripped off buying a Syma S107.Again thank you for your input really neat.
