Well printer ran out of ink so went to store to get some and returned with a second Intek Falcon in camo colors. Now can fly two at same time . First flight son was flying low skimming floor and hit a chair and dropped gear in gearbox. Pain to disassemble but fix was easy. Screws smaller than my 107 and eye sight not so great but managed to fix and fly it again.
Fleet of indoor helis is getting large and mabye might need to see a shrink about the sickness. Still cant wait to get some outdoor flying in though and have the exceed 60 ready as well as the 600 E,set pitch and put on new carbon fibre blades last night and adjusted servos and linkage. Put new glow plug and oiled cyl on the 60 and spun it up for a minute or two.Smoke filled garage.Any one have a junk heli max or E flight with good electronics or similar bird they want to part with.Want to modify a Venom Kodiac that has not flown since new due to bad radio or board so would like a 2.4 set up.
Allright I justified buying a Intek Falcon last night because it was the only one left on the shelf at the store and was lonely,so I brought it home for 25 bucks and was pleased after flying it around, like the s107 had gyro and was stable flying and simular to a A64 Apache in appearance but had subtle differences.Tail rotor is angled forward and is very fast flying in forward mode as well as reverse. It takes a bit of throttle use to keep it aloft but fun no less.
In two weeks adding a 500 Hughes that I was watching fly outdoors this week and it has two 380 size brushless motors for rotors and a decent tail rotor motor and a very large bird at 3 ft with a larger rotor span and scale looks .. Looked real good so I ordered one and hope it flies as well as the person i was watching his fly does.
SF,No need for a bow,you know the saying everyone uses(Some one has got to do it) it seemed over the years I was always that somebody. My wife and I adopted several of the children and raised the rest. Its an expensive hobby also. Havent been on forum alot lately because have been doing alot of flying and demonstrating to others and teaching 8 yr old and he has flown 4 different helis now. My 13 and 16 yr old have it down well now and have stepped up to collective pitch helis and I just seem to fly the S107 more than my others these days. I have too many flights on it and have ordered 3 more of them.As soon as this old man learns how to post videos or one of the children get to it as my 8 yr old has so many of our flying videos on his I pod will post them.
CPD,We have a piggy bank in our house and the kids and I throw our change in it every time we have any instead of carrying it in our pockets and it adds up quickly and we count it once a month and decide if its enough to buy another one or wait another month and see how much then we have to spend and sometimes cant wait and Dad has to add a few bucks to buy a couple.I am not wealthy by any means but I dont drink or spend money on video games and dont run out for fast food and spend wisely so I can afford a hobby.I have bought a few used Trex helis and wentt through them as well as a couple Exceeds,I figured if I couldnt take them apart and repair them how would I know how they flew and the mechanics of flying a heli. The modern electronics some days will make me lose the rest of my hair or the kids will so I go with the flow and enjoy the hobby.
I have practiced martial arts for years-Please except my bow -looking after 35 foster children, that takes a certain person to do that- I am in awe-SF

CPD,yep twenty helis, she figures its better than my last hobby which was motorcycles and got real expensive.Having 21 grandchildren as well as three boys still at home and a fourth great grand kid on the way she says it keeps me outta trouble. My real hobby over the years was raising 35 foster children and adopting seven children and that too was expensive .My helis are probably the lowest cost thing Ive done in several years. So do to economics of recent times Ive parked the Trex helis due to parts costs and meets and competition being expensive propositions ,put the Eceed Pro on the shelf after finding the little S107 and flying it the first time and now have a few Syma helis with the 31 and 32 being the latest ones. The little birds keep me happy flying them inside all except the Venom Kodiac which im about redy to use as parts due to so many glitches with it. Will buy a few more Symas however and see how they do.
yeah, 20 helis.
I have 3, and that's "enough."
While I'm buisy deciding $20 for a syma, or $26 for a drift king 4ch, she's all like "you have enough of those things"
Trying to tell her that I effectively have one because the other two are getting tired and are going to need retired like a month ago.
I dont have a Mom to answer to but do have a wife that questions my purchases when it comes to Helis.I have 20 helis at the momment and buying a few more ,as I have 8 yr old 13 yr old and 16 yr old boys and we all fly most of them frequently and never any serious arguments about buying a few more, only time it gets bad is if we dont see her coming and accidently hit her with one which has happened a few times ,so we restrict flying times to when shes at work. As long as it involves the children and spending time other than in front of the TV with them she is for it. We are in the process of attempting to get a large gym to fly in and starting a small informal flying club for our indoor Helis and so far we can use it starting in April so I think a few more Helis will be called for.
Ok, I need somethin quick--my mom's crappy about getting more. I went to Aldi's for jelly beans, bread and cookies, and figured I'd see if they had a random rebranded s107 left, but of course they didn't have any jellybeans or s107's.
So, brought up the heli thing, to which I got "slapped in the face" with "Doncha have enough of them helis? What do you need annother one for?"
I think I'm stuck with the green 102, and rare flights of the other two, considering the ammount I fly them needs to be really slowed down.
So much for blue, fiddler's green paper hury shell and OD.
Lets just hope she lets me get the 119 when it comes out.
I LOVE Monty Python. It's like a HUGE cult following thing here in the US-I think that there's probably more 'Merican fans than over in England.
I know it's a bonus on the DVD, but that's still hillarious.
Ni!

So I ordered a Chinook and of course it's the dancer model and I got to thinking there's a chance this thing could be a dude. Sooo of course I had to order a 108 cobra last night just in case, so as not to be without a new Helli if and when I get the Chinook and have to send it back. Funny how that worked out. If every thing works out I'll have a Protocol uh60 black hawk a s107 a KXT a Chinook and a 108 cobra. Well that's a good start anyway, lol.
