Hi everybody,

It is with great sadness,  We have, with out doubt, lost the Worlds Greatest and most well known and respected Astronomers Sir Patrick Moore.

I knew Patrick for about 9 years and visited him many times and stayed at his home over night after using his scope, not to mention the work on his Dome.

So I can think of myself as a friend, that makes me happy,  I am sure I can organize an evening at his home to do what he gave us permission to do and use his Big scope I am sure he would like that.

He passed away at home after short stay in hospital. with some family and his cat Tolomy around him at home, he wanted to go home because he said there was nothing else they could do for him.

I am going to find out when his Funeral is because I would like to be there.

Bernie.

Nice image, I like the ghostly image in the stars.

Is the the nebula a real one, or computer generated? Either way it looks very interesting.
