Greetings from Florida!  I received an S107 as a Christmas present, and love it!  It's my first RC copter.  But I have a problem that I hope someone with more experience can help me with.  The upper rotors no longer operate.  The bottom ones spin fine, but not the upper.  I did crash it a few times as I learned to fly it, but the last time it flew, there was no crash; I just stopped to recharge it.  After charging, the upper rotors didn't function.  I've looked at several videos on repairing the S107, but I'm not sure which one applies to this situation.  Could someone please help with diagnosis, and then steer me to the appropriate repair video?  Thanks!

Hi Randy... This is The Purple Bear.   Your problem is a common one..  After a hard-crash, the top rotor will stop turning for any of three reasons"

1-- The set screw that attaches the top rotor assembly to its shaft has become loose.. Remove the entire assembly, locate the "flat" on the shaft, and re-tighten the assembly..

2- The gear at the bottom of the shaft has become loose... Hold the bottom gear with a finger while rotating the top rotor [clock wise-looking down].

3- The gear located on the bottom of the "rear motor" may have up or down, and no longer engages the bottom gear. Just slide it in place with a small flat blade..

Well, the first thing to do is check the tops of the motors. If they're bright green and pink, then it's most likely a fake, and has a blown motor. I am not sure about the most current fakes, but that seems to be the number one cause of this problem. If your whole gear assembly for the top rotor isn't working, (I believe it's the lower gear set, but don't quote me on that) the motor's most likely shot and needs replaced, unless there is a break in the wire going to it. Then, if it's not a fake, try to take a flat screwdriver and gently push on the lower gear upward. It could be slipping from crashing and general use, which would maybe make it do this.

If you come back with more info, we can be of more use. Until then, good luck!
