TBE (toilet bowl effect)
January 21, 2012 - 7:01 am

I just replaced the main blade to shaft component for the common sheared off plastic nib problem. Heli flew fine but with the TBE.

One of the "dogbone" buckles was *past* the ball and on the shaft of the balance bar bracket. Checked that each dogbone was actually *on* each ball on the balance bar bracket. Problem fixed.

Tiny adjustment made a big difference.

I have read about two fixes for TBE.  One is to tighten screws on lower blades, the other is lower the lower blades on the shaft.  Neither of these worked for me.  The buckles from balance bar to upper rotor are working fine. Any other ideas?
