Heli needs to be switched off when charging her

I bought it from Amazon. New one coming today so fingers crossed. I'll bear in mind the 15 minute rule. Quick question, when charging the helicopter do you need to have the helicopter switched off or on? The instructions make it sound like you should have it switched on, but that seems pointless.

Well, that sounds strange.I have had a problem with a faulty usb charge cable that caught fire.Where did you purchase from? Always remember the 15 minute rule to cool down battery after flight before recharge, saves battery lipo life. Keep us posted and thanks for posting

Well my first one arrived, worked perfectly for first flight (in spite of the pilot's skills!), but then nothing since it ran out. I have assumed it is not charging as getting nothing from it at it, just a millisecond pulse on the rotors. Sent it back and ordered a new one.
It's since come down in price so that's a silver lining, but now got a little wait until the second flight.....
