Hi,

Thanks for the rapid reply and info, but been there done that and fitted a new gear on the inner shaft and new inner shaft and new balance bar and all of it's other connecting bits and bobs that hold the balance bar and top rotors on.

I think it must be something to do with the lower rotor gears or motor, the gears are meshing OK but as I mentioned on the earlier post sometimes the dont start running right away when the top rotors start up. Maybe there is a worn or broken tooth but visual inspection whilst assembled doesn't show it.

Thanks.

Hi All,

Bit of an annoying problem. Replaced the gear that drives the top rotor recently because it seemed to be damaged and all was well for a while.

However, recently it doesn't seem to want to lift more than a foot or so off the ground, or if it does lift then after a few seconds it loses the height and again wont lift more than about 18 inches.

I've noticed that sometimes the lower rotors dont seem to start up at the same time, as if theres a few seconds lag behind the main top rotors - does this suggest the motor or slipping worn gears? Also it does't take much to stop the lower rotors a quick poke with a finger will do it, whilst the top rotors are still running.

When it's in the 18 inches of the ground mode the heli doesn't seem to want to fly straight and will start making wide circular movements. I've checked the plastic bits that are prone to breakage at the top of the main shaft and they are OK?

Does any any of this make sense or sound familiar?

Thanks in advance for your help.
