hi everyone! id just like to inteoduce myself to the world of mini rc helo's.
a little info about me:
i live in sunny san diego, ca and i work in the navy as a helo mechanic. ive always wanted to pick up one of these mini helos but never found a good one. i ordered mine from amazon.com since i had a gift card. from what ive read, it seems like mine is a legit copter. has the syma logo on the secondary box and the little paragraph writing warning on the main rotor blades. the only thing i noticed, it doesnt show that a 'neon' green color as standard. does this mean mine isnt legit?
Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay at hotel helinuts! Also hope you stick around, and post often! Might not seem like it, but since you're a mechanic on real helis, you probably know a lot more about these little guys than you think. Not to mention, I'm guessing you probably have a good idea of the physics and stuff behind what they do, how they do it and why, which can be a HUGE help.
Welcome ,JamDJ answered your question very well, enjoy the forum.

Hi Ixcocoyxi and another welcome to our forum!
Your green one is actually a pretty cool color! The original
colors were red, blue, and yellow, with yellow being the
most popular. Their paint scheme is shown on the pic at
the top of this home page.
About a year or so ago, Syma introduced an updated 107 with new
paint schemes and colors like your green, white, and a rare white/gold
one. The new colors were designated by the 107 logo on the canopy,
rather than the silver and black lightening bolt. Also introduced at that
time was the upgraded motherboard. Sounds like you have alegitimate
107 as Amazon does a good job. There are lots of feeds on here to
help you determine weather yours is real or not but I suspect you have
a true Syma S 107G
Enjoy it, have fun and safe flying, and thank you
for your service in the United States Navy !
