I have  3 s32's and had to buy an s 39 all work awesome I don't know why Syma waste time on the O series with am/fm controllers when you have the 2.4g  controllers. I bought  a 3.7v 650 mAh 25 c battery and put it in my s 39 which fits perfect in the battery slot and with that battery it brings the S 39 alive not bad sor the S 32 either I run then in all those  heli's. I did not realize for a long time that the motors in the S39 are bigger than the s32 so that bigger batter works awesome with the S39

also the S301 is a beautiful Heli except it has the wrong controller . finally they have the s37 raptor which is really the same bird but a 2,4g controller  they dropped the voltage down to3.7 1100 mAh which I thought was a big mistake at first but I like better now I bought a 3.7v 1200 30c and it flies great. And is not to cad out side either a lot better than I thought.

Love the S37 raptor great Heli for all around flying

Battery extension lead and a real battery with long lead and a replacement with short lead

Just tried level 2 the only difference is the number of beeps on the controller. nothing discernable on flight characteristics.

I have a s39 it flys fairly well but the tail rotor seems underpowered. I had to make a extension lead for other brands of battery as the leads were too short. I am hoping to find a different tail rotor that will make it fly better.

edit I have just realised it has 2 power settings I will try it on level 2 soon.

Good post, I did a review on the 031G Here I was not really impressed with big helis from Syma, no brushless motors and poor remote, and it eventually flew distance away as remote usless and I had no control over it, ended up in a tree

Update:

I finally got around to flying the S14 aka the S39. I carefully opened it because I was a little skeptical. Well, after opening it, it looks really cool. I like being able to replace a bad battery on down the line. When I first flew it, it was very stable, much like a 107. It needed very little trim adjustment. The controller on the S14 is 2.4ghz. I didn't know what to expect from a slightly larger helicopter. Well I for one was disappointed. I live in an average sized ranch style house, which really didn't seem spacious enough to fly the S14. This thing moves a lot of air with the larger rotors. My experience was that if I got within a foot of a wall, then the air current would somehow suck the helicopter into the wall. So this limited my space to fly even more. As I flew the helicopter, I found myself wishing it was a 4 channel. Maybe then I could maneuver it better inside? Well I didn't try to fly this helicopter outside. I really have my doubts that it could handle any amount of wind. So I repackaged this helicopter and promptly returned it. I think this helicopter might be fun for someone who has access to a gymnasium or some other large building. But even so, it didn't seem all that fast, so someone who flies a lot might find it a little boring. I would like to point out that the helicopter does have two speeds, and there is a noticeable difference between the two. I would also like to point out that I also found this helicopter a little dangerous to fly inside because I have 3 small curious children who always seem to get too close to the larger scale rotors. We all know even the smaller helicopters can hurt if you get hit by a rotor. This helicopter just seems to be too big for inside the house, but to small for outside the house. I would say if you live in a smaller house, but are looking for something more challenging to fly than a 107, then buy an F3. My F3 is by far my most fun helicopter to fly, and it has the best set up. But if you do go for the F3, then be aware that you may have to adjust your servo arms out of the box.

The S39 seems to be hard to find. I did however buy one of these at my local Meijer store last weekend. (Northwest Ohio, USA). It says syma on the box. They are calling it an S14 but from what I can tell its a S39. I got it on sale for $45. My wife also bought me an S3 by the same brand, which is an orange coast guard heli. (it looks awesome) It also says Syma on the box.

The S39 is a reworked version of the S32 and now features, are you

ready for this? INTERCHANGEABLE BATTERIES!!! Finally!

Syma got it right!!!!!

It's the same copter but the underbelly has been redesigned

to accomodate the new battery! Yes, At Last!!!

After learning about this, I can only think of one song quote....

"I'm on the Edge of Glory..."!
