Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie with a Syma S107G.

I had many flights without problem until a big crash and now my heli is flying like this:

I believe this is the " Toilet Bowl Effect" but I don't see anything wrong with the flying bar, however the shaft seems to be broken. Nothing else seems broken..

Any advise for this newbie?

Thanks!Laugh

yep, she's got the toilet bowl effect.

If the shaft looks broken like you say it does, then it's probably the problem. Not too hard to repair. I think Supernova has a vid on how to fix this, so I'll hand it over to him on that end.

See-he knows how to fix anything with these and has videos for about any problem!

I think that video of your heli's a great example video of toilet bowl effect at its worst. Some forum members were wanting a good video about TBE and what causes it, so there's the one for what happens when you have it. Thanks!

I am going to do a video of TBE and try to explain its cause.

just thought that this is a good addition for an example of what happens. Not a replacement, just replaces trying to make a heli have tbe so you can show what happens with it.

I found one of the pivot pins from the shaft is broken…

Looking on ebay I found this:

5-x-SYMA-Head-Inner-Shaft-part
http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-x-SYMA-Hea…item19cd96dc8f

and this:

5xMain-Inner-Shaft-Syma
http://www.ebay.com/itm/5xMain-Inner…item41628d00c0

I would like those 2 sets,  since I also want to buy an S026 Chinook, I want to have spare parts for both, I was wondering if they share the same shaft, according to the first ebay seller the main shaft is compatible with Syma S107G and S026G, what you think?

Any other spare parts I should buy that are easily broken like the shaft?

Thanks for all your help

I ordered the 2 sets from ebay and also some from amazon while they get here.

Any recommendations for a good screwdriver set for this hobby?

Thanks! :)

Just saw that my local dollar tree has a set of jewlers screwdrivers. Just get something cheap. These things don't need some fancy $5 set of screwdrivers. Half the time, I'm using the one that came with a model bell 412 (upgraded civillian version of the uh-1 H/N) the other half I'm either using the one on my pocketknife or one from the cheap set I got my dad for christmas the one year when I was like 7. (that was one of the best gifts too because he uses them CONSTANTLY, amazingly, those cheap little things don't wear out if you take care of them, and they can do anything)

The cheap set we have is probably the same as any dollar store, but they're good enough that my dad uses them in all of the desktop computers at home. Plenty good for a heli if they're good enough to install $300 computer parts.

One thing is people have complained that their fingers slip on the knurling, and the round thing at the top is annoying. They're not using them right-you push on the spinning thing, and turn the screwdriver without pushing on the kurling.
