Timm, have not come across a remote change on throttle spring, where did you buy it? I will contact Syma direct to see if they are changing remotes - also will the new Syma 107 bind to your old remote? Thank you for update info.

Hi,
Just a quick post. I just picked up a new 107G the other day as my first one was looking worst for wear, so got a nice new red one. And one thing I have noticed is that the remote has changed, not in it's general appearance but the throttle no longer is spring loaded and has a real nice feel to it with not to much play in it. The right stick also feels different it seems the center spring is slightly stronger which I like. So not sure if this is what Syma are doing now or what. The 107 flies great. Timm
