Interference caused by LED

Hi,

Checking the LED lights, they appear to be LED warm light. So I suppose that apart from the visible “warm” infrared there is also an invisible infrared radiation, causing the S107 acting weird. The marking on the box CE is supposed to stand for something else but in this case I could stand for Chinese Export. 🙂

Never would have thought of that... Might be only LED Christmas lights, heck, it might only be one specific brand!

LED's, unlike conventional bulbs, only put out one specific wavelength of light, except if there's a poor quality control, which would lead to infra-red light being given off. But, I guess we should have somebody confirm wheter all Christmas Lights screw with them.

Oh, and if youre wondering, a chunk of green pop bottle plastic cut and put between the landing skids and the frame over the reciever does not interfere with the performance, but does not do much for getting rid of interference, as was intended.

Hi,

flying my S107 while a string of small Christmas lights were illuminated was a bad idea. Already at a distance of1 meterit was impossible. The heli reacted very weird. After switching the lights off, all worked well again. So Beware !
