I paid 39.99 at NCIX for it plus $8 bucks for a new charger plus shipping taxes. I probably did get ripped off.

It is over 2 months now and to late for a return, it was a gift for my niece, If I knew what the problem was I would order a new part and fix it.  For what ever reason it won't charge through the remote either any idea's?

You must've been unlucky and got one that's just not built right. Somewhere in the system, there's a defect that's creating too much resistance, which melted the first power cord. The second power cord sounds like it's off of a fake (or a real one if you got a fake) because they're opposit polarity and the rotors spin when charging to get rid of the extra power that they cannot use.

Call or email where you bought it from and try to get it replaced. A month out's a little long for some of them, but that's the cheapest route. Have them swap it with a new one, and if that one doesn't work, just return it that time and buy one off somebody else listed in the "stop theif" topic, where we've listed good and bad websites and amazon stores to buy from. (and list this one as a bad one)

As for spending $50 for an s107, you should've paid $30 max and $4 max for the new charger cord, not $50. You got ripped off then.

Hi.

Im sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with you S107,

It sounds as thought there may be a shot circuit at the charging plug in the helicopter.

Have a closer look at the helicopter st see if any solder is bridging the contacts

It won't power up through the remote either? Does anyone have a suggestion of what the problem could be?

I ordered s107g a couple of months ago and it didn't work because the usb powercord was bad, so I ordered a new powercord and just got it yesterday. I made sure the s107g was off and plugged it in and the blades started to spin a little when it was in the OFF position I left it for a few minutes and when i came back the Damn usb plug on the powercord was melted??

I wish I never bought this piece of junk now I'm $50 bucks in the whole and still nothing, what am I going to do know now order another cable?
