Wow, the heat signature's really telling. I wonder if there's a way to let the tail motor cool off faster or something. (some sort of modded tail motor holder or something)

Blades painted with Tamyia matt black spray paint. Never had a problem with trim or balance and it flies really well. Just has a slight forward trim which I like.

Zadorda, How do you like your v911? I'm llooking for

something in a 4-ch single rotor to fly both indoors

and out that would be a good trainer as a step up

from the 107. Comments from anyone welcome!

Carbon fiber parts are not all that expensive if your willing to fabricate them yourself. I use this:

I just bought some tube from them for my WL-v911 to reinforce the frame.

Amazon has a nice set of black replacement parts but with shipping it is kind of expensive but it is up to you what it is worth to see your heli looking awesome.

Looks good! I like the canopy! Carbon Fibre is a little pricey for these things, but there's a few main frame sets out there. Somebody posted ones he was making a long whole ago. Might be worth it to look into plastic/polystyrene before deciding to use carbon fibre.

Also, I don't know what you did to make the blades black, probably spray paint, but spray painting them can cause a few minor problems with balance and aerodynamics. I use a black sharpie or chisel tip permanent marker, which doesn't provide perfect black, but looks good at x hundred rpm. If you want to protect the black finish on the edges, and not end up with black marks all over your walls, what I do is take the really cheap garbage "invisable tape" (we all know that's a lie! It's far from invisable, and it doesn't tape anything!) and measure it out to the same length on all of the blades. (from the tip to the rounded part begins near where it mounts to the heli) The tape takes the brunt of the force from whacking it into stuff, and gets ripped up instead of the blades. After I started doing that, I've cut WAY down on how many blades I've had to replace, even with crashing and letting my friend fly the s102.

How does she fly now? Did you balance out the weight so she flies true?

Have fun experimenting, and keep us up to date on the results!!!

Hi there folks. This is my first post on a forum like this. Thought some of you may be interested in what I've drone with my Syma S107G.

I've got rid of wall the weight I can and cut down the canopy as much as I can which also keeps the battery cool.

Next on the list is carbon fibre body panels.
