It does sound like a dead battery, but it could also be a dead/dying motor.
I am curious as to the usage and storage of your heli/battery. I have replaced batteries after about 500 miutes of flight time.
Motor A and/or Motor B seem to break down around after 300 to 400 minutes of operation.
The first time I had a problem such as yours. I immediately assumed it was the battery and replaced it. The problem remained until I replaced the motor. One has to closely scrutinize the rotors under operation to determine which motor has failed as the "live" rotors influence the spinning of the "dead" rotors.
