All Li-po(Lithium polymer) batteries sold in the USA have an internal overcharge circuit to protect from fire required by law. In the Syma S107G the USB charger's LED responds to the circuit turning off the current as that circuit kicks in.

Yes good point Z

I am really new to LiPo, LiLo, and LiFe batteries.  It is my understanding that some batteries have protective circuitry and some do not.  Sometimes the circuit is obvious sometimes not.  How can one be sure?  (I hopefully will be able to resize my pic's to attach.).
