Can't wait to see that! I don't know if I'll get one or not, but it shouldn't be too hard to go from 107 to... although I could be wrong...

I'm guessing it won't need too much work for repairs, but the ones they will need will be probably a lot harder. Will have to get one if I want to be able to help with them since they're so far different mechanically... Remembering from reading up on some other 4ch helis, I think we'll have a number of problems with people screwing up the swash plate. At least we won't have to worry about blown tail motors with these.

Two things I'm wondering is A can you put the remote into the body of a 107 remote, and B what does the tail rotor do on this one? It's a gyro co-axial, so it doesn't need it for balancing torque, or does it?

If somebody could get a cheap 107 remote used or whatever that doesn't work, and re-wire the battery box, and just put the guts of the 800 remote into it.

I have just got a S800G and doing a review on it as we speak-A lot harder to fly than the 107G but a hell of a lot of fun.Throttle has to be controlled a lot more-remote is small and has drift on the throttle stick which can be tricky not to push up at the same time,it just shoots up in the air-no rear motor just a wimpy prop that spins-better gears tho-I feel this will be a bit of competition for the 107G,but much harder for a beginner.Up to 22 flights so far and a few crashes but all good-my complete review on the Syma S800G will be posted by Sunday-I bought from RcFever for $27 plus postage, noticed now on Amazon for $32 -You can wait for my complete review after have hit 30 flights with this bird-so far I like it-SF

Complete Review of Syma 800G now posted Here

Well, from the sounds of it, whatever "mode 4" is supossed to be, I think it's not a deal breaker. Quite the contrary! I don't know if you're used to flying the s107 and other syma 3ch's, but it's the same layout as those, and thus would reduce the learning curve for us syma users. The small controller mught be a problem, but that's not that dig of a deal. The buttons on top of the sticks, well, I'd try them, then modify them as wanted.

They must've just realesed them, so I don't think anybody probably has one yet.

Now, then, where's my s119g? What? Not out on Amazon yet? Dangit.

Has anyone here flown the new S800G?  I saw a review on Youtube by Taoistflyer that indicated that the controller was not a mode 2 controller (standard in the US is mode 2).  If this heli is only going to be available with the Mode 4 controller it will be a deal breaker for me.  I also read several reviews on Amazon on how poorly the new controller fits in adult hands.
