Doncha just love how off topic we've been getting lately???
lol.
Maybe with the video chat, we could figure out some way of doing the picking up a popcan game for over the web…
Yep we do go a bit off topic but it is crimbo sorry my fault.
As for picking up a beer can, it can just be lifted about 4/5 inches but takes a good charge, but cant do much with it, may be better with the smaller cans that the coca cola comes in, I will try to film something over the Christmas hols
Still doesn't beat sugar free sugar cookies...
I just hate how the comittee's on a binge of "These kids are eating nothing but junk food!!! they need to eat healthier!!!" when we almost never bring anything more than oreos for friday snack and doughnuts for sunday breakfast to campouts. What I hate about diet soda is how horribly bad it is for you- it's literally like going to the gas station, and filling your car up with keroseen!!! Your body thinks that all of the sugar substitues are sugar, and acts like it has premium fuel, esp. with high-fructose corn syrup, and in reality, you have this crap that you can't get rid of!
I like how they have a TV reali-info-tainment show (not really a reality show, not really infotainment) here now about making illegal moonshine. Who in their right mind would sign up to do that??? Go on TV with you making illeagal liquor on camera without bluring your face or voice?????
Pop can with the tab up, 8 inches of fishing line and a barbless fishhook or equivalent. (make sure that sucker's main shaft's PERFECTLY straight!!!)
I'm guessing use a cheap mirror only for that, and dry-erase markers... am I correct???
Probably all kinda of games you could use them for. Heck, might be able to mount something between the body and landing skids that would make you be able to crash into each other without damaging them...
I know I'm sneaking my 102 into my scout christmas party...
What? Who said us adults can't bring our own toys to play with???
Lol.
Another game is to tie a long bit of stiff wire between 2 copters and set a target with a hook on it like an empty beer can then try to lift it and fly in formation.
The stiff wire must be directly under the main rotor shaft to get the balance.
Or use a piece of cotton with a hook hanging from the landing gear with a weight on the end to keep it stable, needs to be fairly long to avoid the downdraught, to lift small items and land them somewhere else.
All great for experimenting and gaining skills.
That sounds so much fun-taking a few Symas to friends for Christmas day, that game we will try- 8 Pounds won,I like it-can not stop smiling at the thought of playing this game
"Fly like a butterfly sting like a Syma" http://syma107.com
I have invented a new game.
Get a felt tip pen and fix it to the skids on the landing gear with the point facing forwards.
Then get a wall mirror (a big one ) and with another felt tip draw a target like a dart board, in the middle of the mirror.
Then try to fly at it and make a dot on the target to score with the pen, then reverse without crashing into the mirror.
TIP !!! With your opponents make sure the pen cant reach the mirror with the tip of the pen so the rotors hit first, I have won £8 so far.
