Hey,
Do you know why the Syma X20 drone goes uncontrolled straight forward without any possibility of steering it?
I work on a supply vessel and found this drone on bridge. After trying it a few times the drone then suddenly acted very strange. I have searched the internet for information on calibration, but so far I have not figured out how to fix it.
Best regards,
Even Røkke
Hi Even, Well a few problems that might be-have you crashed it?- try this fix
A lot of flying problems can be fixed by simply re-calibrate the drone: 1) Bind the drone to the controller, place the drone on a flat and level surface. 2) Push both left and right stick (on the controller) to bottom right corner, hold it for 3 seconds or until the LED on the drone stop flashing.
My husband received a S107/S107G for christmas the gears appear to be moving freely but the bottom blade doesn’t work when he attemps to fly the the helicopter. What could be causing this… I finally found his favorit toy and he can’t play with it anymore…
All my S107G will do is blades will come on but won’t go up? What do I need to do.

Hi,
I got the Syma S107 for Christmas for my son an he loves it, but were having a slight problem with it. When it takes off it flys fine but when we attempt to turn the top rotar seems to catch the middle rotars and thus the heli falls! There is a small chip out of the bottom rotar aswel. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or have you seen it before?
Thanks
John
I have the same problem. I think the propeller shaft is bent. I’m buying a new one from a local hobby shop in the morning. e-mail me and I’ll let you know how it works.
I had a similar problem and discovered that plastic pins in the linkage at the top rotor had broken (during a crash no doubt) and were allowing the top rotors to hit the lower ones. A replacement rotor hub should be less than $5. Check this site’s spare parts.
My son’s new heli has become unstable and now seems to be spinning out of control just after lift-off. It’s not a central rotor spin, but a full body spin of the whole heli.
Can you give me any suggestions on what to check/replace? Thanks.
Check the main gear drives.
Any imbalance between the gearboxes of the two rotors – like a cracked gear or gunk restricting how well they can turn, or even the motors themselves, will cause uncontrollable rotation and eventual crash. (I should know, I have one with a slipping gear on the motor shaft.)
Fortunately for you, in the “Syma S107 Repairs” page here on this website, they detail how to replace gearbox gears in the S107, or even service the gearbox in other copters. If I were you I’d dig in there and just make sure all the gears are in good shape.
Alternatively, if one of the rotors is DEAD, check the wires from the control board to the motors. My Commanche (a larger RC heli) had a wire break off a motor mid-flight – that wasn’t a pretty landing…
My daughters were given helicopters for Christmas. However, we are having a difficult time getting them to work on the two different frequencies. One controller is controlling both copters right now. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Ihave the same question, is there a switch to select A or B?
Same here! How can I change the frequency on the heli?
under the websites faq is the solution to switching frequency so that two copters can used as the same time. it is a software switch, here is the procedure, I tried it and it works:
10: Can I fly many Syma S107 at the same time?
Yes you can, however follow this advice: For two S107:
Turn on remote A and heli A. Make sure they are binded together.
Turn off remote A, leave heli A on.
Turn on remote B and heli B. Make sure they are binded together.
Turn on remote A.
it’s cool!
Good Day
